Two days after Kaitlin and Dan’s wedding, we headed out for California! We had a wonderful time! It was our first real family vacation in the ten years that Matt and I have been married.
Our first stop was Laguna Beach where we spent three days at the Pacific Edge Hotel, right on the beach. It was really great being able to walk from our hotel room to the ocean. These photos were taken our first day there when the kids were discovering the ocean for the very first time. 
Levi and Liana were determined to learn how to surf on our boogie boards.
Next, we visited Sea World. We loved getting to see the new Turtle Reef exhibit and getting to meet the dolphins.
Our next stop was the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park.Ã? Ironically, the things the kids enjoyed most here, were the petting zoo and the entertainment.
Our last big amusement park was Legoland.� I think we could have spent five days there!
I love the looks on everyone’s faces.Ã? This was the first roller coaster all four of them had been on!
On the fourth of July we went to a small neighborhood parade.
Then we spent the evening at Angel’s Stadium watching a game and watching the amazing fireworks.
Our last stop was to visit my grandparents in the Sacramento area.
